Our commitment

Almeida's Wire Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the experience for everyone and to apply the relevant accessibility standards, so that as many people as possible can use this website regardless of how they browse it.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some content may not yet fully meet every success criterion; where we identify gaps, we work to address them.

Measures we take

To support an accessible experience, this website is built with the following measures in mind:

• Semantic HTML with clear landmarks (header, navigation, main and footer regions).
• Full keyboard navigability, with logical focus order throughout the site.
• Visible focus states on links, buttons and interactive controls.
• Sufficient colour contrast between text and its background.
• Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting, easing animation for those who need it.
• Descriptive alternative text for images that convey information.
• A skip-to-content link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass navigation.
• A responsive, scalable layout that reflows cleanly when text or the viewport is resized.

As an Ontario-based company, Almeida's Wire Inc. supports the goals of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards. We aim to provide our information and digital services in ways that are accessible to people with disabilities, and we treat accessibility as a continuing commitment rather than a one-time exercise.
